Principal Solicitor
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Criminology and Psychology, which she completed in 2008. She was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia in 2009.
With a broad background spanning civil litigation, class actions, crime, family law, and wills and estates, Amanda now focuses exclusively on family law and estate matters. Her extensive experience, combined with a down-to-earth and empathetic approach, helps her clients make clear, informed decisions during some of life’s most challenging transitions – whether navigating separation, parenting arrangements, or complex property or estate disputes.
Amanda has a particular interest in complex financial matters and large property and estate claims. She regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of NSW, advocating for practical outcomes with a goal to resolving matters outside of Court where possible. Her reputation as a straight shooter who offers tailored and strategic advice means clients trust her to take control and drive matters forward with purpose and good sense.
Amanda hasn’t had a single matter proceed to a final hearing in over 6 years – a reflection of her ability to take control and negotiate fair and sensible outcomes outside of Court. Known for her creativity and outside-the-box thinking, her solution-focused approach ensures her clients’ interests are protected while always striving for just and equitable outcomes that reflect the commercial realities of legal disputes. Having gone through her own separation, Amanda brings a layer of lived experience to her work – and her clients feel that.
Amanda’s work has been recognised with multiple national awards and nominations, including winner of the Local Business Awards for Professional Services (2022), winner of the Business Person of the Year (2024), finalist in Australian Law Awards – Sole Practitioner of the Year (2023, 2024), Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards – Family Law (2024), Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards – Sole Practitioner of the Year (2023, 2024), Australian Small Business Champion Awards – Legal Services (2023, 2024, 2025), Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards – Legal Services (2023, 2024), Local Business Awards – Professional Services (2023, 2024, 2025), and the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence – Micro Business (2023, 2024).
Since founding Greenleaf Legal in 2019, Amanda’s philosophy has remained simple: deliver the best advice, with the best service, to achieve the best possible outcome, as swiftly and cost-effectively as possible.
When she’s not working hard in the office, Amanda enjoys visiting museums and art galleries, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
